Thinking about a Lifestyle Shoot in your Home?

Taking newborn and family photos in your home can be a great option if you don't want to travel far or if you LOVE the way your home is decorated. I've been in some pinterest-perfectly decorated homes and I've got to tell you, I LOVE these types of photos.

Here three things to do before I arrive for in home photoshoot.

  1. Decide which room(s) you want to take photos in. Keep in mind what time of day our session is and what rooms get the best natural light at that time. In case natural light is not great, I can create light with my magic lighting skills:-)

  2. Once you know what rooms we'll take photos in, DECLUTTER. I'm not saying you have to Marie Kondo the whole house before I get there, but clear surfaces, remove phone cords, clean up the clothes piles that may be on the floor

  3. Have your outfits on and ready to go with your hair and makeup done.

That's it! Easy-peasy. When I arrive, I'd like to take a walk through the home with you and what you decided. If my eye catches something that would be a fantastic shot, I'll help you declutter.

Here are some in home lifestyle photos I just LOVED capturing recently.
